Together, one sack of rice at a time, we can make a difference!

Together, one sack of rice at a time, we can make a difference!

Please pray for people of the 5 Sahel nations: Mauritania, Mali, Chad, Niger, and Burkina Faso. The drought and food crisis is putting almost 10 millions lives at risk. Praise Internatonal’s Project “Pharoah’s Dream” is an attempt to save Malians who live in the hardest hit regions of Mali. It may seem like a daunting task, but if each one does what he can, if we all band together, determined that we must do something, then we will make a difference indeed. God loves these people and those of us who are better off can share what we have and save lives. Please read this and pass it on to as many others as possible. And please do whatever you are able to do. Thank you.

Haiti update — Feb 1st, 2010

Pastor Ignace wrote over the weekend thanking everyone for their prayers and concerns. He reported on how hard it was for all of them – physically, emotionally and psychologically – but that they know that God has everything under control. As we reported earlier, one of the pastors sponsored through Praise International received a broken leg when a wall fell on him (Pastor Livard). He is recovering well. Thankfully the rest of the pastors whom we sponsor were not injured, though several have lost loved ones and friends.

Pastor Ignace hosted a medical group from Maryland last week. They were able to help hundreds of people, but they also reported the masses of people who are in need of medical assistance. In two weeks another medical group will be going down there to work with Pastor Ignace as well.

Please continue in prayer for all of the victims of this disaster and for the many organizations being mobilized to respond to this crisis. We will continue to keep you updated as we receive more information.

Together in Christ,
