Gift for a Guinea Pastor

Bore on ad for Bibles

This Christmas, are you looking for an idea for giving a MEANINGFUL GIFT?

We just returned from a visit to Guinea. Wow! It is extremely difficult to be an Pastor in Guinea, as in most countries of West Africa! Guinea is so poverty-stricken. Shortages of electricity and water (there is water, but it is not at all exploited), absolutely TERRIBLE roads! Dangerous! A lack of any effective means of transportation. Communication by phone, very poor! Internet? Leaves much left to be desired, to say the least. No postal system! Imagine?

Praise International exists to support, encourage and facilitate the ministries of national pastors in Poverty-Stricken Countries, such as Guinea.

We have two ideas for a meaningful gift this Christmas:

  1. A Guinea Pastor would CHERISH having a good Study Bible with Commentary.Publicity for Bibles for Guinea

2. Sponsor a Guinea Pastor for $35/month.

Village Pastors in West Africa typically have NO SALARY. Imagine? How many in America would work for no salary? They have gardens, maybe chickens, maybe a goat. But this is not enough.  They need money to send their children to school! Imagine a pastor in America whose children can’t go to school? Praise International seeks people who would be willing to sponsor a pastor? A fruitful evangelical church, lead by a dynamic devout Man of God, will impact their community for good and for God and for God’s Glory.

Please send your give by PayPal or by mail to: Praise International, P.O. Box 927, Caldwell, ID 83606.

Pearls before swine

Here is an opportunity to get involved with an exciting project. Praise International has established  a project fund for micro business development in Cote d’Ivoire, Africa.

Local pastors are eager to work in developing projects that will help their families and communities.

Current project:  Pig Breeding Farm

Total needed:  $2400.

This project will help a local pastor who has earned a diploma in pig breeding to support his family and community.

A change in fees

August 5, 2008

Dear Friend of Praise International

I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks as well as the thanks from all of the pastors receiving financial assistance from you their faithful supporters.

Without your faithfulness and generosity  many called servants of the Lord would, by necessity, be required to seek full-time employment to meet the needs of their family obligations.

As I travel around the world, I’m amazed at how these faithful workers of the kingdom accomplished so much with so little.

To that end, I would propose a restructure of the financial assistance you  provide.  We at Praise International are requesting that monthly assistance be increased from $25 per month to $30 per month in the majority of the countries that we provide assistance. Due to higher costs in Eastern Europe, we are requesting that support the increase from $50 per month to $60 per month.

I think we can all agree that $1-$2 a day is one of the best investments we can possiblymake for the future of the kingdom.

I look forward with great anticipation to see what the Lord will continue to do through Praise International and your faithful support in the future.

 Serving Him Together,
